Anna-Marie Musson - Managing Lawyer

I am in the business of people. We’re complicated, always changing, we have millions of things going on in our lives and making the decision to divorce is ALWAYS a big decision.
I work with high net worth clients to help them strategically navigate the legal, financial and emotional issues in divorce.

I started my legal career on Bay Street, over 20 years ago and was a litigation partner at a national law firm. Now my focus is on helping clients resolve their issues without going to Court. I help clients with creative, out of the box solutions so they can move forward with this next chapter of their lives.

In my free time you might find me: hiking, kayaking, playing soccer, tennis basically any activity that gets me outside.

Roger Macintosh - Associate

It’s not always that a boiler plate answer will solve your problems. Situations can be so unique for everyone that a customized solution is usually needed. To achieve this, I seek to solve problems amicably and creatively.

I work with clients to solve complex legal problems involving spousal support, child support, parenting time, decision making, and property issues both in and out of court; often, this will also involve detailed and complicated financial issues. My approach is to work co-operatively with my clients to get a full context of the problem. This is important as it is the client who has the personal historical insight with the specific issues on the file.

I began my legal career in the Waterloo Region working in Family and Real Estate Law. I have always focussed on being a guide to help clients navigate through family law so they can feel confident moving along their path to a resolution.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, training in martial arts, practicing music, or travelling when I get the opportunity.

Cheryl Lau - Associate

I bring compassion and experience to clients, who are making complicated decisions to tangle or untangle their financial and emotional lives. I enjoy keeping up to date on the case law to ensure my clients’ interests are protected. Coming from a general practice setting, I have the knowledge to speak with clients on not only the family law aspect of their matter, but also the real estate side and future planning.

I am also on the board of directors for a non-profit organization providing health care services to the community. Outside of the office, I am most likely making travel plans or playing board games with friends.

Sarah Lenis – Manager, Client Relations

I am passionate about connecting with people and providing an exceptional client experience. No two cases are the same and we are not a one-size-fits-all kind of Law firm. We are human first and we truly understand what it takes to build and nurture our client relationships.

I have an extensive background in law and a proven track record of delivering client excellence. I always take a solution-oriented approach to all client related matters and I remain as a main point of contact throughout the lifecycle of every case.

During my downtime you will find me cooking, watching live sports or music, visiting a new art gallery or having an espresso at a cozy neighbourhood cafe.

Amy Balatoni – Director of Operations

I am honoured to oversee Operations and lead the Firm’s dedication to fostering a culture-centric organization. Drawing from my extensive background in Human Resources, I bring a wealth of experience to my role, committed to nurturing authentic relationships and transparent communication for both our team and clients alike.

For me, it’s not merely about extracting value from employees; it’s about cultivating an environment where I help instill value within them. I find immense satisfaction in supporting individuals as they advance in their careers and positively influencing the strategic decisions that shape businesses.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching hockey and football, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. You’ll often find me at a hockey rink or a baseball diamond cheering on my two teenage sons or hanging out with my husband by the pool.

Brooke O’Neill – Senior Paralegal

I take a glass half-full approach to life. While we are often dealing with people at difficult cross-roads in their life, I can help clients approach each issue with realistic and proactive solutions.

I am customer service and team focused first and foremost. I have extensive experience assisting on matters involving both litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including a large background in trial preparation. I have previously attended University and lived in the United States for 4 years, which helps me offer a broader perspective to clients.

I am a licensed Paralegal and have been working in Family Law since early 2019.

Outside of work, you can find me playing any type of sport, spending time outdoors with my dog or reading a good book.

As a Legal Administrator, my expertise encompasses promptly addressing phone calls and inquiries pertaining to family matters, coordinating consultations, establishing, and managing record-keeping systems, drafting legal documents, and overseeing administrative and business tasks, including routine accounting procedures. I take great pride in maintaining organizational efficiency within the office.
